Will the New York Rangers dominance continue?

Standard

The Rangers are 10-1 in their last 11 games. They’ve collected 40 goals while giving up only 17 during that span, and they’ve tied they’re longest win streak of 8 games since 1974-1975. The Rangers are considerably one of the best teams right now in the NHL, but have a tough schedule upcoming against teams like the Islanders, Kings, Ducks, and the Sharks. Although they embarrassed the Sharks at Madison Square Garden on Oct. 19th 4-0 they are a better team then the last time they played.

The Rangers need to stay composed, and continue their great play against these better teams. During the 10-1 stretch they played some games against teams who were at the bottom of the division, and were basically must wins for them. Now is the ultimate test when the Rangers face the Ducks Wednesday for their 1st game of the west coast road trip.

The Rangers power play has been outstanding over the stretch 10/31 which is definitely a key factor to their success. If they keep scoring on the PP, and stay focused defensively like they have been, they shouldn’t have a problem winning games on this road trip. Last trip out west the Rangers swept their opponents let’s hope they can do the same this time.
